ACWF Holds Meeting to Prepare for 13th National Women's Congress of China
The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) convened a preparatory meeting ahead of the 13th National Women's Congress of China. The meeting was held in Beijing on October 10.
Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF, attended and addressed the meeting.
It was noted, during the meeting, the CPC (Communist Party of China) Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, has attached great importance to and made specific requirements over the opening of the congress. Such actions reveal the CPC Central Committee's care and support for work involving women in China, and for the work of women's federations across the country.
It was also noted ACWF's cadres should understand the significance of the congress, and help ensure the congress is a meeting that opens new frontiers in the development of women's cause.
It was stressed that ACWF must lead and guide all cadres and Party members in advancing the pioneering spirit, and in fully preparing for the congress, and the ACWF's cadres should deepen the consciousness of the need to think in big-picture terms, unit and support each other, deliver outcomes step-by-step, underscore communications and coordination, abide by the rules and discipline of the Party, and take the utmost efforts to ensure the success of the congress.
Also attending the meeting were members of the Leading Party Members' Group and the Secretariat of the ACWF, representatives of the discipline inspection and supervisory group affiliated with CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed at the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), heads of affiliated institutions of the ACWF, and ACWF's cadres.
