Huang Xiaowei, Vice President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), and Vice Chairperson of the National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council, met Monica Mutsvangwa, Zimbabwean Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, on April 1, 2025, in Beijing.

Huang noted Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Zimbabwean counterpart, Emmerson Mnangagwa, announced in September 2024, the countries will further deepen and enhance their comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, and will build a high-level China-Zimbabwe community with a shared future, marking a new stage in the development of their bilateral ties. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China is ready to enhance women's exchanges and cooperation, Huang added.
Huang outlined Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and she detailed, in a vivid way, the historical achievements in Chinese women's development, which she said were attributable to the great attention from the Communist Party of China and the Chinese Government. Huang also noted, with heartfelt emotion, Professor Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, also a special envoy for the Spring Bud Project for many years, has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of girls' and women's education.
Huang also highlighted some of the ACWF's work, including its efforts to foster stronger family ties, values and traditions, to promote women's participation in community-level governance, and to facilitate women's employment and entrepreneurship. Huang added China will host the Global Leaders' Meeting on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment this year.

Mutsvangwa extended heartfelt gratitude to China for its long-standing support to Zimbabwe. She said she truly admired President Xi for paying high attention and great care to work related to women, and she said she looked forward to the upcoming Global Leaders' Meeting on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment. Mutsvangwa repeatedly commended the achievements in Chinese women's development, and she spoke highly of the ACWF's work, extending her warm applause multiple times. She expressed willingness to deepen women's practical cooperation and advance the countries' friendly cause.
Lin Yi, Vice President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, heads of relevant ACWF departments, and representatives from China Women's Chamber of Commerce also attended.
