Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), made an inspection tour to Shenzhen, Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in South China's Guangdong Province on October 14-16, in a bid to promote the spirit of the important speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping to women and women's federations' cadres at primary level, and learn about deepening reform of the women's federations and drafting new national programs for women and children's development.
During her inspection tour to the smart mediation platform for solving emotional problems and family disputes in Baoan District in Shenzhen, the first of its kind in China, Huang spoke highly of its role in mediation work. She urged the platform to summarize the good practices of cooperating with other departments and organizations and making full use of big data to protect the rights and interests of women and children, in a bid to spread its system innovations to other regions in the country.
Huang inspected the women's rights protection and information service station in Hengli Town, Dongguan City, to learn more about the implementation of the mechanism of women and children's rights protection.
Huang also visited women and children's homes and women's micro homes in communities in Shenzhen and Dongguan. She communicated with members of the executive committees of women's federations and women volunteers, stressing improving the working mechanism of caring for and supporting impoverished women, elderly women and disabled women on a regular basis and
bringing the care from the Party to women and children.

During her inspection tour to the China Spallation Neutron Source in Dongguan City, Huang exchanged ideas with women scientists and encouraged them to contribute to making China a country of major advances in science and technology.
Huang also visited Guangzhou International Media Harbor, a national-level industrial park with multiple cultural and media companies. Huang urged the park's women's federation, which was established in 2019, to expand the coverage of the women's federations, make the federation's work
more appealing, and make the harbor a place for promoting the growth and development of women in new fields.
Huang inspected the province's women's startup base which aimed to boost rural development. She urged the local women's federations to cooperate with women's federations in western regions, find market for products produced by women in underdeveloped regions and help ensure stable income increase for women in poverty.

Huang hosted a symposium during her inspection tour. She studied with the participants on the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the grand gathering to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.
Huang called for continuous efforts to heed people's needs and solicit public opinion while drafting new national programs for women and children's development, and coordinate the women and children's cause with economic and social development.
