Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation, on November 16-18 made an inspection tour to Yinchuan City and Xiji County, Guyuan City, in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, to promote the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), summarize the women's poverty relief work and advance the Women's Action for Poverty Alleviation to synchronize with the Women's Action for Rural Revitalization.
Hearing the good news that Xiji, the last poverty-stricken county in Ningxia, was just lifted out of poverty on November 16, Huang said that it is a landmark for the autonomous region to win the battle against poverty. She hailed the event as an epitome of the anti-poverty fight of people of all ethnic groups under the CPC's leadership.
During her inspection tour to a poverty alleviation workshop and a hand-knitting company in Xiji County, Huang spoke with the women workers. She encouraged them to make continuous efforts to both achieve economic independence, and take an active part in the improvement of the rural living environment and the development of family, family education and traditions, mobilizing family members to work together to build a harmonious and beautiful new countryside.

At an ecological industrial park for poverty alleviation in Minning Town, Yinchuan City, Huang emphasized giving full play to the exemplary role of women who are skilled at agricultural techniques and the agricultural bases under the women's federations in mobilizing more women to start their businesses or get jobs.
During her inspection tour to a local company, Huang spoke highly of its after-school classes for caring for children of the employees and helping ease the women workers' worries.

During the inspection tour, Huang also hosted a symposium with women taking the lead to get out of poverty, representatives of women who have been lifted out of poverty and staff members of the women's federations at all levels. They studied the spirit of the important speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. The attendees shared their attainment and feelings from the study based on their own lives.
At the symposium, Huang called for efforts to study, publicize and implement the spirit of the fifth plenary session and pool wisdom and strength for the achievement of the goals set at the plenary session.
Huang noted that efforts should be made to prevent women from falling back to poverty and provide targeted assistance to the needy women in a bid to consolidate the achievements made in poverty alleviation.
Centering on promoting high-quality development, women's federations are also urged to guide women to join in rural revitalization and boost the sustainable development of poverty-stricken areas and continuous improvement of people's lives.
