The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) held a symposium combining online and offline in Beijing on March 7 to study the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping.
Shen Yueyue, President of the ACWF, spoke at the symposium. Shen stressed efforts to study and implement the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping.
Shen called for efforts to unite and guide women to follow the Party's leadership, make contributions to the 14th Five-Year Plan period, embark on a new journey under the guidance of General Secretary Xi, welcome the Party's centenary with outstanding achievements and contribute to realizing the dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Shen pointed out that General Secretary Xi's important speech expressed his expectations for and gave specific requirements to the country's women for their role and contributions on the new journey of fully building a modern socialist country in the new era and it made an instruction for the women's federations on taking up their responsibilities and promoting the development of women's cause.

Shen urged women to be the builders of great cause, fully implement the new development philosophy and make more contributions to creating a new development paradigm in the new stage of development.
Women were also urged to be the advocates of civilized social conducts, cultivate healthy, green lifestyles, pay attention to the building of family, family education and family traditions, strengthen practicing core socialist values and strive to pursue their dreams.
Shen emphasized that women's federations at all levels should live up to their responsibilities and unite women to rally closely around the Party, guide women through theory and organize public educational activities to celebrate the Party's centenary.
Efforts should be made to organize women to make contributions at their posts in an innovative way, implement the Women's Action for Scientific and Technological Innovation, the Women's Action for Rural Revitalization and the Family Happiness and Well-Being Campaign, protect women's legal rights and interests and enable women to have a stronger sense of fulfillment, happiness and security.
More efforts should be made to deepen the reform of the women's federations, serve the overall interests and women in a better way, promote the new development of women's cause and make more achievements on the new journey of fully building a modern socialist country.

At the meeting, representatives shared what they have learned from the spirit of General Secretary Xi's important speech based on their work, and expressed their determination to work hard during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
Members of the Leading Party Members' Group and members of the Secretariat of the ACWF, part-time vice-presidents of the ACWF and heads of departments and affiliated institutions of the ACWF, also attended the symposium.
