Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), conducted an investigation tour of East China's Anhui Province from July 14 to 17, to promote the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to women and families.

Huang reviewed the glorious history of the CPC at local revolutionary memorial halls. She also visited Ma Maojie, a recipient of the July 1 Medal, the Party's highest honor for outstanding Party members. Ma is known for her heroic contributions to the campaign to cross the Yangtze River during the Chinese People's War of Liberation (1946-1949).

During her visit to an innovation center and a high-tech seed company, Huang encouraged women scientific and technical workers to take an active part in the Women's Action for Scientific and Technological Innovation, which was initiated by the ACWF, the Ministry of Science and Technology and several other institutions and organizations in April.

In a community, Huang attended an activity held by women volunteers who explained how to prevent children from drowning. She urged women's federations to make efforts to provide child care services during the summer vacation and plant the seeds of love for the Party and the country in children's hearts.

Huang also brought a collection of General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions on the building of family, family education and family traditions for local women, and called upon these women to give full play to their unique roles in families and social life.

During her investigation tour, Huang held a symposium with recipients of the March 8th Red-banner Pacesetter, women role models who have guided others to alleviate poverty, and staff of women's federations at the grassroots level. She also conducted field research at the provincial women's federation.
