The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) bestowed the title of National Most Beautiful Family upon 1,000 deserving households on May 14, the eve of the International Day of Families.
The families have fostered and practiced core socialist values, carried forward the spirit of hard work, striving, dedication, creativity and thrift, and reflected a new trend toward socialist family values, featuring love for the nation, family and one another, a devotion to progress and kindness, and mutual growth and sharing. They have also set examples for the public in inheriting family virtues, cultivating patriotism, and advocating new trends in civilization.
To date, more than 678 million people have participated in various activities related to the search for the most beautiful families across the country. About 14.84 million households have been honored as most beautiful families, at all levels, and in different categories.
By giving full play to the exemplary role of a most beautiful family, the activities aim to guide and lead more families to integrate their family dreams with the dream of the nation and contribute to building a modern socialist country, in all respects, and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, with ACWF, released the stories of 10 representative families — the families of Wang Yaping, Fu Zhuo, Li Guosheng, Zhang Hong, Han Shuxiu, Xiao Chun, Zhang Kechang, He Wenguo, Chen Jing and Jiamiha Dawulaiti — from among the 1,000 families.
The families were honored for displaying various traits, including diligence and integrity, frugality and benevolence, excellent parenting styles, and promoting traditional Chinese family virtues and patriotism. Several members of the families shared their stories, through video presentations and interviews.
