The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and China Women's Development Foundation launched the Love Warming Thousands of Families public-welfare action in Beijing's Mentougou District on January 27.

During the launch ceremony, Huang Xiaowei, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, presented a flag to teams of caring mothers. She also presented postal parcels for mothers and Spring Festival care packages to representatives of disadvantaged families.

Huang and women cadres also participated in parent-child activities at the cultural center of Chengzi Subdistrict. Firefighters with Mentougou District Fire and Rescue Detachment were invited to give the children a safety lesson. Parents and children also read books and made papercuts for window decorations.

Training sessions will be organized to help caring mothers improve their professional services. The public-welfare action will also provide psychological care, support and safety protection to families facing difficulties, promote the building of harmonious family relations, and create a safe and warm social environment for families coping with difficulties. The action will be rolled out in 50 counties across the country.
