BEIJING, March 15 (Xinhua) — An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on ensuring that the self-reform of the Party is carried forward, will be published on Saturday.

The article by Xi, also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will be published in this year's sixth issue of the Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee.

The 20th CPC National Congress demanded that the whole Party should always stay alert and determined to tackle the special challenges that a large party like the CPC faces, which is a major issue put forward by the CPC for exercising full and rigorous self-governance on the new journey in the new era, according to the article.

The article noted that the CPC, as the ruling party of a country with a very large population, not only boasts huge advantages in accomplishing major tasks and creating great achievements, but also faces special challenges in governing the Party and the country.
