The Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Tianshui Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Tianshui Women's Federation initiated the activity of looking for "gold medal" family dispute mediators in Tianshui, a city in Northwest China's Gansu Province, earlier this year. The activity began on April 1, and it will run until November 30.

Full- and part-time mediators (including cadres of women's federations, women volunteers and professionals in law, psychological counseling and family education), responsible for helping people resolve marriage and/or family disputes, are eligible to participate in the selection process. Ten "gold medal" family dispute mediators and several good family dispute mediators will be selected, based on their work performance and relevant departments' opinions.
