Energy-Saving-Publicity Event Held in Inner Mongolia

Inner Mongolia Women's Federation and several government departments organized an energy-saving-publicity activity, themed "building ecofriendly families, sharing beautiful homeland," in a park, in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on May 19.

The purpose of the event was to guide children and their families in practicing energy conservation, green consumption and green travel, and to live low-carbon, environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Participants learned how to save energy and reduce carbon emissions in their homes. Children and their parents also participated in several fun games, to learn about carbon neutrality and sorting garbage.

The children were encouraged to uphold the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection, from a young age, and they were urged to develop the good habits of saving one drop of water, one piece of paper, one grain of rice, and one kilowatt hour of electricity, to contribute to the building of a beautiful homeland.

During the activity, a child and his mother read aloud a proposal on building eco-friendly families and living environmentally friendly lifestyles. Representatives of eco-friendly families shared their stories of volunteering in projects aimed at achieving ecological improvements, and at living frugal, environmentally friendly lifestyles.
