Ahead of International Day of Families (on May 15), the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF, under the All-China Women's Federation), Hebei Women's Federation, Hebei Women and Children's Development Foundation and Shijiazhuang Childcare Industry Association organized a charitable event to foster children's healthy growth. The event was held in Shijiazhuang, capital of North China's Hebei Province.

Zhu Dongyun, Deputy Secretary-General of CCTF, Shi Huimin, Vice-President of Hebei Women's Federation, and Zhou Yingjie, President of Hebei Center for Women and Children's Health, attended. Other participants included childcare experts, representatives of workers with childcare-service organizations (in Shijiazhuang), parents and their children.

As they played parent-child games and watched plays adapted from picture books, parents and their children learned about oral health and scientific diets. Organizers also invited childcare experts to provide free medical consultations and lectures to parents, so the parents can better help their children stay healthy. The event was part of the action, launched by CCTF in 2023, to help families improve their members' health. The purpose of the action is to promote implementation of the Family Happiness and WellBeing Campaign, launched by the All-China Women's Federation in 2019, to promote the work of women's federations (across the country) related to family building.
