Spring Bud Dream Chorus Holds Demonstration Class in Inner Mongolia

 July 4, 2024

An expert demonstration class for the Spring Bud Dream Chorus project, jointly launched by China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) and FAW Audi, was held in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from June 21 to 23.

The class drew the attendance of 40 girls and 150 teachers of art education across the autonomous region.

At the demonstration class, experts spoke with attendees about the singing styles and skills of ethnic songs and utilized vivid cases and interactive activities to help the girls grasp a deep understanding of the close relationship between music and culture and help them master the correct vocal and singing skills.

Under the experts' guidance, the girls engaged in the practice and made improvements of vocal performance. They gave flash mob performance of several classical Mongolian songs, showing their learning results and winning applauses from attending experts and the audience.

Wang Qi, a member of the Art Committee of the Spring Bud Dream Chorus, gave a lecture focused on the theories and practices of art education as well as the integrated teaching in and out of the classroom.

After the lecture, several teachers shared their thought of art education. They said that they will further improve their teaching methods, take art education as a breakthrough in aesthetics education, and make consistent efforts to enhance their students' cultural and artistic competence.

Moreover, the demonstration class also included an activity to collect folk music. Together with other artists and music educators, Che Hang, a renowned lyricist, Chen Guang, a music education expert, and Hai Yan, a member of the Art Committee, talked with local inheritors of traditional ethnic songs and learned about the development, characteristics, production forms and ethnic traditions in a drive to integrate their professional competence with the exploration, protection and research of folk songs and further promote the inheritance, protection and development of folk songs.

The Spring Bud Dream Chorus project has built chorus teams in over 10 provincial-level regions with the support of the CCTF and FAW Audi. In the next step, FAW Audi will make full use of its brand influence, promote the implementation of the project in more areas, explore the vocal talent of more girls and guide them to enjoy music and grow up with music.
