Anhui Women's Federation held an on-campus job fair for girl college students in collaboration with Anhui Department of Education and Anhui Department of Human Resources and Social Security at Hefei University of Technology, in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui Province, on March 12, 2024.

The job fair drew the attendance of nearly 100 enterprises, which brought about 2,000 employment opportunities and reached preliminary employment intention with over 700 students.

At the invitation of organizers, outstanding businesswomen and women in science and technology shared with students about their employment and entrepreneurship stories and insights, providing the students with reference in their future growth.

Additionally, specially-invited guests from government departments, higher education institutions and enterprises held in-depth discussions with representatives of college students over women's employment and entrepreneurship in the digital era and offered the students advice about personal career plans.

Women's federations at various levels in Anhui held job fairs at 14 colleges and universities across the province on the same day.

The women's federations have organized over 8,000 enterprises to attend job fairs with nearly 300,000 employment opportunities, drawing the participation of 180,000 job seekers and 1.27 million people via video link.

To further strengthen the capacity and competitiveness of girl college students in employment and entrepreneurship, Anhui has unveiled an action on building sci-tech practice bases for them on the basis of scientific and educational resources held by local universities, research institutions and enterprises.

So far, 16 cities in Anhui have built 49 sci-tech practice bases for girl college students, which have taken into account their actual development needs in the organization of social practices, employment plan training activities, study tours and exchange events. The bases have provided the students with internship and employment opportunities as well as sound growth environment.
