During the past few years, Nanjing Women's Federation has carried out various programs and activities to support the entrepreneurship and innovation of girl college graduates.
The federation has implemented the Women Entrepreneurs Navigation Program, and opened an online knowledge sharing platform, on which outstanding women entrepreneurs, women sci-tech talents and HR workers are invitied to share their experiences and business stories.
Since 2019, the platform has produced over 160 online classes, which have been viewed more than 3.14 million times.
The federation has organized a series of interactive and thematic activities such as roundtable discussions to provide college students with career guidance and help them develop positive outlooks on employment and entrepreneurship.
"We have held special job fairs, built an entrepreneurship mentor team, launched a package of supportive policies and curricular arrangements, and organized enterprise-oriented study tours to promote girl college students' employment. In addition, we have established employment and entrepreneurship training bases and provided specialized financial services for girl college students," said Wu Xi, President of Nanjing Women's Federation.
For instance, a job fair held at Jiangsu Maritime Institute in May drew the attendance of 182 enterprises with over 3,100 employment opportunities and the participation of over 2,000 college graduates.
Nanjing Women's Federation, Nanjing University Women's Federation, and Nanjing University Science and Technology Park jointly hosted the first women's innovation and entrepreneurship competition and the 3rd Nanjing University global alumni innovation and entrepreneurship competition's women's special final at Nanjing University. Contestants presented their technological strength, competitiveness, team composition and project highlights during roadshow events, showcasing their latest entrepreneurial projects and innovative achievements.
