An activity, with the theme "Accompany In-Need Children, Expel Loneliness," was held in Zhangxian County, in Northwest China's Gansu Province, in early January. The activity was hosted by Gansu Association of Women Entrepreneurs, under the support and guidance of Gansu Women's Federation.
During the activity, Gansu Association of Women Entrepreneurs sent scarves, books and stationery to in-need children. Teachers, affiliated with Gansu Association of Applied Psychology, led children in conducting various activities, to help them build self-confidence.
The "Accompany In-Need Children, Expel Loneliness" public-welfare activity was designed to pool women's strength to facilitate provision of psychological care and assistance to left-behind children in Zhangxian, and to ensure the children receive support and love during their formative years.
In recent years, Gansu Association of Women Entrepreneurs has established a Caring Mothers volunteer team, to extend warmth to in-need children. The team is composed of the association's members, staff of the executive committee of Zhangxian Women's Federation, and women volunteers.
Since 2024, the association has launched six related activities, which have benefited more than 1,000 people. Through those activities, the association has sent out more than 500 supply packages. The association has also held four "Accompany In-Need Children, Expel Loneliness" activities in Zhangxian.
