Targeting grassroots-level women and families, the Looking for the Most Beautiful Families campaign promotes the inheritance of family virtues such as maintaining harmony between husband and wife, respecting the elderly, loving the young, educating children in a scientific way, being industrious and thrifty in marriage and family, and helping neighbors, among other virtues and merits. By encouraging them to tell their own family stories, the campaign gives full play to the unique role of Chinese women in social and family life and helps to manifest family virtues in the new era. During the campaign, people voluntarily share their family photos and hold meetings to share their family traditions and mottos. Every year, the All-China Women's Federation honors 100 national-level “Most Beautiful Families” on May 15, the International Day of Families.
