The 2024 China Charity Gala was held by the China Philanthropist magazine in Beijing on January 8.
Twelve awards, including the Inspirational Organization of the Year, Outstanding Public Welfare Project of the Year, Outstanding Communication Case of the Year, Responsible Brand of the Year, and People of the Year, were unveiled during the event.
The China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) claimed the Inspirational Organization of the Year award, and its project Achieving Dream of Future with Infinite Possibilities was bestowed with the Outstanding Public Welfare Project of the Year award.
In 2024, CCTF adhered to its fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education, thoroughly implemented the Spring Bud Project — Dream of Future Action, and adopted multiple measures to help underprivileged girls continue with their education and grow up healthily.
The CCTF has further promoted public welfare projects including Sunshine Station, Happy Home for Childen and Guarding Childhood, Growing Up Together, to provide migrant children and children whose parents work away from home with love and warmth. The CCTF has also participated in disaster-relief work and mobilized society to provide effective care and services to more than 1 million disaster-affected children and their families.
In September 2023, CCTF and Adidas Sports (China) Co., Ltd., jointly rolled out Achieving Dream of Future with Infinite Possibilities project to promote the healthy growth of Chinese children and strengthen friendly exchanges among children at home and abroad. The company donated 10 million yuan (US $1.41 million) to support girls' sports empowerment, care for children living in difficulties, organize vocational skills training for teenage girls, and hold children's exchanges and social practice activities.
So far, the project has provided financial aids to 10 girls' sports teams in Shandong, Hebei, Yunnan, Guizhou and Liaoning provinces, Inner Mongolia and Ningxia Hui autonomous regions, including funding for equipment, daily training, and competition expenses for teams like soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. The project has also provided educational assistance to 1,170 primary and secondary school students from families living in difficulties and offered vocational education scholarships to 200 girls studying digital technology, intangible cultural heritage, and other fields. Additionally, it has organized social practice activities to help girls receive quality education and have the opportunity to realize their dreams.
