To honor the inspiring national role models, and encourage women to learn from them, to commit themselves to the implementation of China's 13th Five-year Plan, as well as to help them strive for the building of a moderately well-off society and the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, the All-China Women's Federation has honored 10 women with the title of National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetters, and the other 300 March 8th Red-Banner Individual Holders and 200 March 8th Red-Banner Collectives, ahead of International Women's Day.

为充分发挥先进典型的引领示范作用，用榜样的力量激励广大妇女积极投身“十三五”，为全面建成小康社会、实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦而奋斗，在“三八”国际妇女节即将到来之际，全国妇联2月25日决定授予10位杰出女性全国三八红旗手标兵荣誉称号。

全国妇联同时授予300人全国三八红旗手荣誉称号，其中包括通过向社会公开征集推荐方式产生的15人和通过各推荐单位组织推荐方式产生的285人；授予200个单位全国三八红旗集体荣誉称号。

The past year has seen the 20th Aniiversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing as well as new commitments to gender equality and empowerment from leaders around the globe. The Women of China website has summarized the top 10 significant events reflecting Chinese women's development and achievement during this amazing year.

The selection of national moral models has been held biennially since 2007. Co-sponsored by the Central Publicity Department, the Central Civilization Office, the General Political Department of the National Liberation Army, the National Trade Union, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the All-China Women's Federation, the selection comprises the largest scale, highest standards and widest coverage of its kind nationwide.

The campaign aims to bring into play the leading role of moral models, mobilize the public to participate in moral practices and further increase the levels of good social moral.

In order to implement the central government's decision on "mass entrepreneurship and innovation"; further bring into play the advantage of women's federations; and, lead women to start businesses and find employment amid medium and high level economic growth, the All-China Women's Federation held the China Women's Handicrafts Expo in the city of Yiwu, a trading hub in east China's Zhejiang Province, from October 18-25.

The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) announced the launch of the Women Entrepreneurship and Innovation Action this June in Beijing. The initiative aims to encourage rural and urban women across the country to commit themselves to innovation and entrepreneurship in China's "new normal" economic phrase.
