    Editor's Note: A total of 2,296 delegates have been elected to attend the upcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The delegates, covering a broad spectrum, are all outstanding CPC members and have made remarkable achievements in their work. Zhang Jinmei is one of them.

    Zhang Jinmei, a plant expert and a delegate to the upcoming 20th National Congress of the CPC, has made great contributions to the cultivation of multiple types of lilacs blooming on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Her work also paved the way for the establishment of the first and only lilac germplasm bank in China.
