ACWF Holds Conference to Study, Implement Spirit of 20th CPC National Congress

Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, on October 24 presided over a conference, of the Leading Party Members' Group, to study and act on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, and of the first plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Huang called for efforts to hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, to fully understand the significance of establishing Xi's core position on the Party Central Committee, and in the Party as a whole, and the significance of defining the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, to firmly uphold Xi's position as the core of the CPC Central Committee, and the whole Party, to fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and to carry forward the great founding spirit of the Party. She also urged women's federations to stay confident and build strength, uphold the fundamental principles and break new ground, forge ahead with enterprise and fortitude, and unite and lead women to follow the instructions and guidance of the Party, contribute to the building of a modern socialist country, in all respects, and advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, on all fronts.

During the conference, it was noted the CPC congress was a meeting of great importance, as it took place at a critical time, when the Party and Chinese people were embarking on a new journey to build China into a modern socialist country, in all respects, and marching toward the Second Centenary Goal. The re-election of Xi Jinping as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee was the common will of all Party members, and the common hope of all Chinese people.

The conference stressed women's federations, at all levels, must firmly uphold the Party's new central leadership, uphold the authority of the CPC Central Committee, and its centralized, unified leadership, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, rally more closely around the CPC Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and promote implementation of the spirit of the congress.

The conference noted women's federations, nationwide, must take the study, implementation and publicity of the spirit of the congress as their primary political task, fully grasp the overall requirements of the five major principles, understand the significance of the work of the pas t five years , and the great changes in the first decade of the new era, understand the great expectations of the CPC Central Committee for the cause of women and the work of women's federations, intensify their reform and development, and give full play to their roles as bridges connecting the Party and the people.

The conference emphasized women's federations must earnestly study, publicize and implement the spirit of the congress, map out concrete measures to facilitate the realization of goals and tasks outlined during the congress, strengthen the confidence of doing a good job, in all respects, and align with the spirit, both in mind and action.

Women's federations should adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deepen studies, education and training among cadres, conduct publicity and educational activities, to make the congress spirit widely known by women from all walks of life, focus on the central development goals defined by the congress and mobilize women to strive to undertake great causes, be advocates of civility and dream-chasing trailblazers, and contribute to the realization of Chinese modernization. 

Women's federations should foster stronger family ties, values and traditions, promote the Family Happiness and Well-Being Campaign, to give full play to the unique role of women, and strive to become a guide for children's growth, a guardian for their rights and interests, and a builder for their future, and consolidate the foundation of national development and social harmony. 

Women's federations should put the people first, protect the lawful rights and interests of women and children, help women resolve pressing and urgent issues, implement the fundamental national policy of gender equality, and enhance the sense of fulfillment, happiness and security among women. Women's federations should also adhere to the overall leadership of the Party, intensify their reform and development, make their work more politically responsive, up to date, and geared to the demands of the masses, and deliver an outstanding performance in the new journey of the new era.

Zhang Xiaolan and Li Ying, delegates to the CPC congress, shared their feelings and experiences about the congress with conference participants. Attendees included: Wu Haiying, Cai Shumin, Lin Yi, Zhao Wen and Du Rui, members of the Leading Party Members' Group of the ACWF; members of the discipline inspection and supervision team of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, stationed in the All-China Federation of Trade Unions; and, cadres from the functional departments and affiliated institutions of the ACWF.
