Shijiazhuang's Fire Eye Laboratory Gears up for COVID-19 Testing

SHIJIAZHUANG, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) — The Huoyan, or Fire Eye laboratory, will have a maximum daily nucleic acid testing capability to 1,000,000 samples after its completion in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of north China's Hebei Province.

Shijiazhuang has completed the citywide sampling on Friday evening, and the nucleic acid testing works are expected to be completed on Saturday morning, said the municipal COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters.

From last Saturday to 10 a.m. Friday, Hebei reported 127 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases.
