CWU, St. Cloud State University Ink Student Exchange Agreement
Professor Liu Liqun, president of China Women's University (CWU), met with visiting president of St. Cloud State University (SCSU), Earl H. Potter III, on December 12, 2014.
The two parties signed a cooperative agreement enabling student exchange between the two universities.
Liu and Potter III introduced to each other the history and current state of affairs of their two respective universities.
While sharing with SCSU president information on the CWU's current academic-exchange programs both at home and abroad, Liu expressed her belief that Potter III's visit and the settled agreement between the two universities will improve the institutions’ mutual understanding, cooperation and the development of their teaching, scientific and research work.
Potter III expressed his hope that the two parties can strengthen the academic exchanges between them and develop together.
St. Cloud State University is the second-largest public university of Minnesota and has a number of specialized individual colleges or schools within, including those of business, liberal arts, public affairs, science and engineering, education, health and human services.
The new agreement grants eligible CWU students the opportunity to study abroad at St. Cloud State University for one year.
Potter III delivered to students of CWU's sociology program a speech on the changes and challenges current higher education facing.
