CWU Holds 5th Awards Ceremony of 'Campus Star'
China Women's University held the awards ceremony for its 5th "Campus Star" competition and the closing ceremony of the 6th Girls' Festival in the auditorium, on May 26. Professor Li Mingshun, Chairperson of CWU Council, Zhang Shuizhi, Director of students affairs office attended the ceremony, joining the over 600 student representatives in witnessing the important event.
The ceremony gave a review of the various and colorful cultural campus activities held during the 6th Girl's Festival, with a focus on the process of publicizing, nominating and electing the "Campus Star".
Through the hosts' passionate and moving speeches while the awards were presented, the attendees understood the winners' deeds of striving for a noble personality with every small detail in their daily life.
Du Shuo, leader of the institution's flag raising team—who won the "Campus Star" group award—made a speech on behalf of all the team members in plain but sincere words, calling upon all audiences present to struggle forward and achieve more.
Whenever an award was presented, the winners were hailed with warm and long-lasting applause, a reflection of the audiences' appreciation and praise for their steadfast pursuit of "the true, the good and the lofty".
The activity of seeking the "Campus Star" reflected the pursuits of CWU students for constant progress. It honored a batch of model groups and individuals, encouraging everyone to learn from them and strive to be excellent female talents, with the characteristics of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement. These future female talents will work hard for the wealth of the country, rejuvenation of the nation and for realization of the Chinese dream.
