Participants from People's Public Security University of China, Beijing Normal University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, among others, gathered at CWU to take part in the contest.
The Publicity Department of CWU, the head of its Law School, the "Young Captain" Law Publicizing Team and some of its teachers and students were also present.
The ceremony was presided over by Yang Liguang of Beijing Municipal Legal Publicity and Education Leadership Group Office.
On behalf of CWU, Wang delivered an opening speech. Shi and Tang summarized the ceremony.
The contest included graphic design, creative events and course material making categories. Prizes were given for first, second and third places, as well as prizes for excellence, "best event contribution", "people's choice", "best promotion" and "best organization".
The contest received more than 100 works as entries from nearly 30 universities in Beijing.
CWU's "Young Captain" Law Publicizing Team won two first prizes in event creativity and course material making categories, and a second prize and one third prize in graphic design.
The university won best organization and promotion awards.
The win is not only due to the reorganization of the professional practicing and teaching abilities of the "Young Captain" Law Publicizing Team of the Law School, but also a display of the great importance attached by the CWU to publicity of law.
The "Young Captain" Law Publicizing Team will take part in Beijing's "100 Young Captain Anti-drug and Law Publicizing Lectures on Campus" campaign, in order to share the fruits of the contest with primary and high school students, and expand the social effects of its law publicity.
The contest was a city-wide theme campaign to publicize and education others on the law, jointly held by Beijing Municipal Legal Publicity and Education Leadership Group Office, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice and Beijing Municipal Anti-drug Education Base. The six-month competition aimed to explore new models of anti-drug law publicity and education, raise university students' awareness of resisting the temptations of drug abuse, cultivate their high-minded sentiments and develop proper values towards life.
