From her own perspective, Jing told the story of her personal career development and expressed her attitude towards new media and traditional media. At the same time, she shared her experiences in work and life during the past 20 years.

When it came to the topic of women and gender consciousness, Jing said that she gradually developed her own gender awareness after she held the post of member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) for 10 years, and through the connection with leaders of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF). Jing said that she had always voluntarily undertaken women-themed programs on topics such as migrant workers' children, so-called "left-behind" women and vulnerable groups during important calendar events such as International Children's Day or Women's Day.

Combined with her working experience at CCTV, Jing told students that women should care about their professional sense instead of age or gender.

In one interaction, Jing answered students' questions about how female students can reach their prime. She also spoke on career positioning, and how to balance family and career. In addition, Jing also shared her dreams, and gave her personal definitions of excellence and happiness.

In the end, president Liu concluded that Jing's speech was lit up with thought and wisdom. As long as attendees kept their heart in pursuit of their dreams, they will encounter the person they want, she said. Liu also said that she hoped CWU students would take Jing as example of how to be an outstanding female elite with public consciousness and intellectual elegance.

A signing activity for Jing's new book, "Encounter", was also launched after the lecture.
