CWU Law School Holds Homecoming Day
During the institution's current homecoming month, the Law School of China Women's University (CWU) held a reunion event for graduate students at its 7th meeting room.
Li Mingshun, the Chairperson of CWU Council; Wang Jingxia, CWU vice-president; and faculty members from the Law School attended the event. Attendees also included some 100 alumni from different provinces across the country.
During the meeting, on behalf of CWU leaders and teachers, Li warmly welcomed the alumni and expressed his best wishes. He pointed out that the school is a source of fuel for students' outlook, and CWU is always a spiritual home where alumni can congregate. Teachers and students are the major body of the school, being the basis for its existence, he said. Schools are essential for students' growth and development; their development is also inseparable from students' outstanding performances and alumni's positive dedication, he added.
Li introduced the university's development situation and its aims for the future. He affirmed the school's achievements in teaching and student affairs, and thanked leaders' and teachers' for their great efforts in strengthening student cohesiveness. Li also encouraged students to continue to work hard, make achievements in their own "wonderful" lives, and expressed his hope that they could come back often.
Alumni representatives shared their experiences, development, and achievements since graduation. They thanked the teachers for passing on their knowledge, skills, and professional ideas, and thanked the school for cultivating them. After the meeting, the alumni visited the campus, library, conference rooms and dance studio. They also tasted different meals at the student canteen, and said they were amazed by the developments of CWU.
The alma mater event is a platform for reunion, as part of the alumni's past and roots. The alumni promised to pay continuous attention to the development of the school, and contribute to CWU's teaching, scientific research and all aspects of its development.
The Law School will adhere to traditions, advance with the times, develop and innovate, said officials. The school's leaders also stated that they will maintain close contact with the alumni, share the school's latest developments, harness their power and make unremitting efforts to develop CWU's teaching and scientific research.
