BMTUE Leaders Inspect Computer Science Department at CWU
In accordance with its selection this year as an Advanced Workers' Home, the second group of the Beijing Municipal Trade Union of Education (BMTUE) inspected the China Women's University (CWU) Computer Science Department recently, and evaluated its achievements.
Zhao Yanping, executive vice-president of the CWU Trade Union (CWUTU), introduced the university's situation and the developing condition of the trade union. Liu Kainan, deputy director of the Computer Science Department, presided over the event and emphasized the CWUTU's importance in its construction. Ning Ling, dean of the Computer Science Department, made a speech themed "Party and Administrative Departments and CWUTU Jointly Build a Harmonious Home".
Ning vividly illustrated the department's role from six aspects, including the "government backup, perfect organization", "democratic management, opening government affairs", "law-based rights protection, activity enrichment", "people-oriented development, improving self-cultivation", "public service, morality education", and "joining hands and developing win-win cooperation".
The review panel examined the hardware configuration of the Workers' Home and the archive material of the CWUTU, and discussed some of the relevant issues. They agreed that CWU leaders have paid high attention to and vigorously supported the development of the Workers' Home, and have achieved many positive results. The service-oriented Trade Union of the Computer Department has created a new situation for developing an innovative and coordinated Workers' Home, and has made positive contributions to the university's development, innovation and construction, organizers said.
According to the quality acceptance criteria of the BMTUE on Workers' Homes, the second group of the review panel agreed to recommend CWU Computer Department to apply for the BMTUE Advanced Workers' Home title.
