ACWF Leader Visits CWU Remaining Students

 January 21, 2016

On January 11, He Hong, deputy secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), visited China Women's University (CWU) students who remained on campus ahead of the Spring Festival break. On behalf of the ACWF, she gave students New Year's greetings and best wishes, and distributed consolation money to those students from poverty-stricken backgrounds.

Accompanying staff included Li Mingshun, Chairperson of the CWU Council; Wang Jing, Secretary of the ACWF Youth League Committee; Zhang Ruizhi, Secretary of the CWU Youth League Committee; and directors from the university's functional departments.

He Hong visited the dormitories, asked detailed questions about the students' study and life, encouraged them to work hard, overcome difficulties, bear in mind their duty as contemporary university students, and contribute to society. They replied that they would cherish campus life, think and act boldly, live up to the cultivation of the ACWF and expectations of the university, and be contributing members of society.

Li expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the ACWF, and said that this activity brings not only financial support, but also the earnest expectations for the students. He hoped that they could convert the concern of the ACWF into motivation for learning, combine the individuals with the fate of the country and society, comprehensively improve their own quality, and strive to build the country. The university will further strengthen platforms for students, and provide backing for their development and growth, said officials.
