CWU Awarded at Beijing Photo Competition
Shen Hongxia, a student from the China Women's University (CWU) School of Children's Development and Education won third place in the youth group for her work "The Labor" at a photography competition organized by Beijing Youth Palace. At the same time, CWU was also awarded an Outstanding Organization Award at the event.
In order to enrich students' extracurricular lives and set up an exchange and display platform for shutterbugs, CWU collected 27 photos from students to participate in the youth group of the 13th Beijing Seven Days Photography Competition in October 2015.
The pictures submitted not only included documentary works that reflected the common people's happy and harmonious lives, but also included landscapes that showed the beautiful environmental changes in the cities and rural areas, as well as modernization in Beijing.
The judging panel was made up of members of the China Artistic Photography Society, Beijing Photographers Association and other professional organizations. Through a series of strict reviews, six finalists were selected in the youth group eventually, with one first prize, three runners-up and two third prizes.
