CWU Holds 8th Training Seminar for Chief-Level Cadres
China Women's University (CWU) held its 8th training seminar for chief-level cadres on February 26.
The seminar was presided over by Li Mingshun, Chairperson of CWU Council, and Liu Liqun, CWU President. Vice-presidents Song Shengju, Liu Meng, Wang Jingxia, and Wang Lian, as well as other chief-level cadres attended the event.
Speakers discussed strategies relevant to their specialties in attempt to clarify the university's political direction and academic management goals while enforcing stricter discipline.
Song analyzed the main problems in enrollment and employment, and laid out plans for management of freshmen and libraries.
Liu Meng illustrated four key aspects in feeling accomplished including self-cognition, self-acceptance, self-awareness, and self-reflection in improving inner accomplishment.
Wang Jingxia expressed hopes that chief-level cadres could cherish their positions, clarify their own responsibilities, put emphasis on overall interests, and lead other staff by example.
Directors from General Administration Office, Organization Department, Discipline Inspection Office, Financial Direction, Teaching Affairs Office, State-Owned Assets Management Office, and general branch secretary from Finance Department shared their experiences and arranged the specific work.
Following, President Liu asked all participants to focus on standardization and innovation, resource shortage and scientific development, the overall development and prior development, and complications in superior-subordinate relationships.
Liu specifically asked cadres to develop four aspects: micro-studies; focusing on opportunities and key points; efficiency in resource management, and interpersonal affairs in the workplace.
Li also put forward three demands to set clear objectives and meet the demands of the Party Central Committee, to self-monitor while encouraging positive work from others, and to take pride in work while not neglecting self-cultivation.
Li praised cadres for their ability to problem solve, innovate, and work together.
The training course followed objectives laid out in important speeches by President Xi Jinxing and was meant to prepare cadres to arrange the university's work in adhering to the 13th Five-Year Plan, promote comprehensive reforms, and contribute to cultivating female talents, and building CWU as top-flight women's university.
