 March 24, 2016

On March 18, Li Mingshun, Chairperson of China Women's University (CWU) Council, inspected the teaching faculty at North Campus, visited the classrooms, and spoke to staff and students.

In order to learn about the classes first-hand, Li randomly attended a lecture given by Xue Jingjing, teacher of Modern Chinese at the School of Culture and Communication. Li listened to the class and took notes. After class, Li inquired about students' achievements, shared his own feelings, and expressed hope that students could learn to study efficiently, preview the contents beforehand, study actively, and gain new insights through reviewing old material.

Afterward, Li discussed with Xue, praised her extensive knowledge, clear mind, vivid presentation, and teaching effectiveness.

Combined with his own teaching experience, Li put forward several opinions, including further highlighting teaching aims, and improving effectiveness. He also spoke about further enhancing teacher-student and student-student interactions, and increasing students' interests.

Li said that teachers should further refine key points, and emphasis accurate teaching according to students' knowledge; further take advantage of modern educational technology; combine solid teaching modes with distance learning;  and, widen teaching channels.

The CWU Party Committee continue to pay high attention to undergraduate education and strengthen the core position of talent cultivation at CWU, and requested that all leaders visit classrooms in such a way to gain wider experience.
