CWU Holds 17th Talk in 'A Date with a President' Series
China Women's University (CWU) held its 17th event in the series of talks titled "Listening to Your Heart, Talking about Growth: A Date with a President" at Shuiyu cafe on April 26.
Li Mingshun, Chairperson of the CWU Council, participated in the event, leading a conversation with 10 students from different schools and departments.
During almost two hours of discussion, combined with his own academic experience, Li shared his own opinions towards life and college education. In this global information age, success is built on the correct life plan, effective academic arrangement, and daily hard work, said Li.
Li hoped that students could read more, communicate more, continue to improve their systematic learning abilities, and lay a solid foundation for future development. He also led students to correctly handle interpersonal relationships, and showed them the value of treating other people properly.
Li outlined several topics that attracted students' attention, including undergraduate education, a specialty cultivation plan, liberal education, and vocational skills education, and, gave students suggestions according to the current social status and individuals' plans.
Li fully affirmed students' attitudes towards life and scientific research, praised their creative ideas on their own career plans and the university's construction. He hoped that students could live their campus life to the fullest, and make efforts to build a better campus.
