CWU Attends 3rd National Symposium on Female Uni Students' Employment
The third National Symposium on Employment and Entrepreneurship of Female University Students opened at the Shandong Women's University (SWU) on May 12.
He Xingli, vice-president of the SWU; Mo Wenbin, president of the Trade Union of Hunan Women's University (HWU); and, directors from the Recruitment and Employment Office of China Women's University (CWU), HWU, and SWU participated in the gathering, which was presided over by He.
In accordance with the university's previous experience, Bao Qinglin, director of CWU's Recruitment and Employment Office, pointed out that this kind of event should depend firmly on the China Women's Universities Consortium (CWUC), and participants should expand their thinking, creative forms and content.
Focused on the last symposium, Yao Shuxin, director of the SWU's Recruitment and Employment Office, detailed its specific preparatory work, and shared SWU's successful experience. Feng Xiangbin, director of the HWU's Recruitment and Employment Office, discussed the theme, form, and scale of the event with attendees.
Zhou Zhihui, secretary of the general Party branch of CWU's women studies faculty, hoped that the event could pave the way for female graduates' employment and entrepreneurship, and, further promote the development of CWUC.
Mo thought that the event was important. She hoped that participants could find ways to promote gender equality in employment and encourage female students to start their own businesses after they graduate. While affirming the necessity and significance of the event, Mo hoped that relevant universities could further strengthen cooperation, and join efforts to promote the development of women's higher education.
Around the CWUC's orientation and function, the organizers hoped to consolidate foundation of cooperation and expand cooperative areas so as to promote common development. Participants visited SWU's comprehensive training base after the meeting.
