Research Group Visits CWU's Downtown Campus

Yang Bangjie, member of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee and former vice chairman of the Central Committee of Zhigong Party, visited the downtown campus of China Women's University (CWU) recently, accompanied by Lu Yingchuan, secretary of the Xicheng District Committee of Beijing Municipality, as well other leaders from the Zhigong Party.

The investigation group learned the basic situation of the downtown campus, and listened attentively to CWU's experience and actions in protecting cultural relics. They highly affirmed CWU's efforts, and hoped that the CWU could further promote the preservation of cultural relics, build good relationship with Xicheng District government, and conduct cooperation in other fields.

Wang Xu, deputy secretary and member of the standing committee of the Xicheng District Committee; Sun Shuo, director of the General Office of the Xicheng District Committee; and deputy secretary Li Yan participated in the event. Feng Lanfeng, director of the Jixian Property Management Center, and CWU vice-president Song Shengju received the visitors.

Other attendees included Li Zhaoling, member of the NPC Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee and deputy director of the Standing Committee of Beijing People's Congress; Yan Aoshuang, NPC representative and director of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission; Fan Chengling, vice-minister of the Publicity Department of the Zhigong Party Central Committee and member of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC); and, Zhan Dehua, researcher from the Resources Administration Department of the World Cultural Heritage Protection Bureau at the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
