CWU Drills Party Members in Self-Discipline, Socialist Values
The Chinese President Xi Jinping recently delivered instructions on the country's newly-launched education campaign, which focuses on the study of the Party constitution and rules, as well as supervising CPC members to be self-disciplined.
In line with Xi's important instructions, China Women's University (CWU) held a seminar on the education campaign on April 26. The event aimed to fully mobilize CWU's Party members, and instill rules and good values into them.
Li Mingshun, Chairperson of the CWU Council, attended the meeting, and gave a lecture. CWU president Liu Liqun presided over the event. CWU vice-president Song Shengju declared the implementation plan of the CWU on the education campaign, and briefly informed attendees about the instructions of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Working Committee of Discipline Inspection.
Li made special arrangement through four main points, including "fully recognizing the significance of the education campaign, comprehensively grasping the major ideological and political task, making efforts to improve the effectiveness of the campaign, and earnestly implementing the educational practice."
Li noted that the study campaign is a step toward expanding intra-Party education. All Party members should carefully study the Party constitution and rules, systematically study the remarks made by Xi, correct their own shortcomings, and ensure the effectiveness of the study campaign.
Li put forward four requirements. Firstly, the Party members should study with questions, and correct the specific problems. Secondly, they should be strict with themselves in daily life. Thirdly, they should distinguish different levels of problems and give classified guidance. Fourthly, they should enhance positive action and promote the development of the campaign.
Party members should always think and act in conformity with the CPC Central Committee's policies and guidelines, and consciously obey the arrangement of ACWF and CWU Council. Meanwhile, they should work hard to fulfill the "Four Comprehensives" strategy, and build the CWU into a top women's university, Liu said.
According to Li's requirements, relevant departments should build the Party well, make full use of the Party organizations at the grassroots level, and strive to promote CWU's development.
All the members of the standing committee of the CWU Council, members of the CWU Council, members of the CWU Committee for Discipline Inspection, directors from different general Party branches, and all the teacher and student Party members attended the event.
