CWU Holds Transition Ceremony for Flag Groups
China Women's University (CWU) held a transition ceremony for its flag-raising team on May 21. Some 15 universities participated in the ceremony, including Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China University of Petroleum, and Renmin University of China.
Fifteen groups lined up and performed the lowering and raising of their flags. Their meticulous marching, tidy saluting, and clear slogans showed students' energetic spirit, excellent military abilities, and rigorous attitude.
The former monitor and instructor of CWU's flag group respectively delivered a speech at the event. All the members of the flag group took an oath under the guidance of the new monitor.
The flag-raising team members have trained diligently since the group's establishment in 2013, and received unanimous recognition from both CWU and other universities. The group has previously won first prize in the 6th Honor Guard Competition, and earned the titles of Best Unit and Best Flag Raisers several times.
CWU's flag group has continuously carried forward the spirit of patriotism, and launched several theoretical education and practical activities. It has set up a flag for the ideological and political education among college students.
