CWU Law School Holds 'Class of 1986' Homecoming Day
The Law School of China Women's University (CWU) held a homecoming ceremony for its 1986 graduate students on May 21. Some 30 alumni from 25 different provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions participated in the event.
Li Mingshun, chairperson of the CWU Council; Wang Jingxia, vice-president of CWU; Zhou Yingjiang, dean of the CWU's Law School, attended the meeting which was presided over by the alumni representative Ai Jun.
On behalf of CWU's leaders and teachers, Li warmly welcomed the alumni, and introduced CWU's development process and prospect. Zhou highly affirmed the alumni's spirit of seeking truth and self-improvement, and hoped that the alumni could encourage the currently enrolled students to study hard and improve their professional skills.
The alumni presented an item of iron metalwork to the Law School, which is one of the national intangible cultural heritages in Anhui Province. They thanked the teachers for passing on their knowledge, skills, and professional ideas, and thanked the school for helping their personal development.
The CWU's Law School began to enroll students in 1986. The students all come from women's federations above the county level. They had overcome incredible difficulties both in study and life over the past years. Some of them were promoted to leading cadres at all levels, some served as judges, lawyers, and workers for the legal system building, and the protection of women's and children's rights.
