CWU Library Holds Seminar on 13th 5-Yr Plan
In order to accelerate the advancement of the University's 13th Five-Year Plan, the library of China Women's University (CWU) held a special symposium on June 16. CWU vice-president Song Shengju participated in the event, and delivered a speech on the development of the library.
The associate librarian Shao Juan summarized CWU Library's achievements and its positive influence on the information and cultural resources construction from seven aspects, including the collections of library, the construction of Women and Gender Library, team building, the quality of services, scientific research, Party work concerning the masses, and international and domestic cooperation.
Zhao Baozhen, a teacher from the Women and Gender Library, laid out their work during the 12th Five-Year Plan, and pointed the direction for the 13th Five-Year Plan from the perspective of women's resources construction, the women's oral history project, CWU's academic salon, and activities in promoting gender equality.
Song listened carefully to the reports, and pointedly inquired on the details. She fully affirmed CWU library's great efforts and achievements during the last Five-Year Plan, and asked the relevant staff to remain consistent with CWU's talent cultivation objectives, maintain standards for the library construction, improve the library's IT resources, continue to develop the Women and Gender Library, explore new development approaches and enhance the university's competitiveness.
The seminar pointed the direction for CWU library's development, and provided thoughts and guidance for CWU's 13th Five-Year Plan, organizers noted.
