CWU Signs Cooperation Memorandum with Air Uni of Pakistan

A delegation from Air University (AU) in Pakistan visited China Women's University (CWU) on July 4. CWU vice-president Liu Meng received the visitors, and signed a cooperation memorandum with official representative Batool Samina, a participant in the recent training session for women cadres from developing countries.

The delegation also included officials and scholars from the Pakistan Ministry of Railways; the Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection of Pakistan; the Pakistan People's Procuratorate; and, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Directors from CWU's International Cooperation Department, International Education School, and Continuing Education School attended the event.

Liu introduced CWU's development history, running characteristics, objective of talent cultivation, and its basic situation of international exchange, and expressed the intention to build partnership with AU in future.

The two sides reached a consensus on the issues of exchange students, scientific research, and academic collaboration. The memorandum was the product of a deliberate agreement and lay the basis for the university's stable development, it will also promote CWU's development in international exchange, and improve its international influence, organizers said.

AU is a model university affiliated with Pakistan Engineering Council and Higher Education Commission, and established by the Pakistan Air Force in 2002. Its headquarters is located in Islamabad. The university is committed to promoting higher scientific education in Pakistan and offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees leading to PhD in the fields of engineering and management sciences.
