CWU Wins Multiple Prizes in CUMCM
The 2016 China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (CUMCM) came to a satisfying end in Beijing on September 18.
Catering to the needs of the country and wider society for talented young people, the event is sponsored by the Beijing Educational Committee every five years.
The competition aims to develop new ideas for the advancement of mathematical modeling, improve college students' math skills and promote mathematics teaching reform.
China Women's University (CWU) won an "Excellent Organization Prize" jointly with 19 other higher institutes in China. Some 40 teachers received the award of "Outstanding Adviser" in the contest.
The achievements were the result of the latest talent cultivation efforts, and are a powerful witness to the university's educational reform, said CWU's team leaders. The players revealed the characteristics of CWU's computer teaching, performed well and displayed superb computer skills, organizers added.
