Delegates from Hunan Women's Uni Visit CWU
Luo Ting, secretary of Hunan Women's University (HWU) Party Committee, visited China Women's University (CWU) on October 17. Li Mingshun, Chairperson of the CWU Council, received the delegates and presided over a seminar.
Attendees also included Mo Wenbin, president of the HWU's Trade Union; Kang Lin, director of the HWU's Party Committee Office; Zhou Hongcai, director of the HWU's Enrollment and Employment Department; CWU Vice-Presidents Wang Jingxia and Wang Lian, and some teachers from CWU's Women Studies Faculty.
Around the preparatory work for the third National Symposium on Employment and Entrepreneurship of Female University Students, the participants shared their experiences and opinions in promoting college students' employment.
Luo thanked CWU for sharing its successful experiences and said that HWU will depend firmly on the China Women's Universities Consortium (CWUC), pave the way for female graduates' employment and entrepreneurship and further promote the development of the CWUC.
Luo introduced HWU's initial thoughts on the agenda and concrete work-division. She hoped that those in attendance could find ways to promote gender equality in the workplace and encourage female students to start their own businesses after they graduate.
While fully affirming the necessity and significance of the event, Li hoped that relevant universities could further strengthen cooperation and work together to promote the progress of women's higher education.
