CWU Volunteers Serve 2016 Beijing Marathon

 October 1, 2016

Some 200 students from the China Women's University (CWU) served as volunteers during the 2016 Beijing International Marathon on September 17.

In May, members of CWU's Young Volunteers Association attended the selection session for the event, which was sponsored by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports.

After months of professional training, the majority of volunteers were appointed to serve at the start and finishing lines. Meanwhile, some 20 worked as cheerleaders.

The volunteers said that they would serve the athletes with a serious attitude and enthusiasm, and vigorously promote the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, cooperation and progress".

They also worked to ensure that they would satisfy foreign and domestic players with their careful service and maintain a good reputation for the university.
