CWU Holds 20th Talk in 'A Date with a President' Series
China Women's University (CWU) held its 20th event in the series of talks titled "Listening to Your Heart, Talking about Growth: A Date with a President" at Shuiyu Cafe on September 29.
CWU vice-president Wang Jingxia participated in the event, leading a conversation with 10 students from different schools and departments.
In more than two hours of discussion, combined with her own academic experience, Wang patiently answered questions that attract students' attention, including campus construction, logistics service and management, undergraduate education and career planning.
Wang highlighted the significance of daily hard work and effective academic arrangement, and pointed out that college students should set clear goals and strive for them when they decide to become a postgraduate or find a job. They should also establish the correct outlook on life, recognize the importance of self-discipline, be strict with themselves, seize opportunities, and make the right choices.
Wang carefully listened to students' opinions on the university's construction of hardware facilities and the infrastructure. Combined with the university's actual situation, Song promised to communicate with relative functional departments, and meet teachers' and students' demands as far as possible.
She hoped that students could keep their feet on the ground, participate in social practices actively and make unremitting efforts to realize the value of life.
