Li Mingshun Hosts Symposium for Freshmen

Li Mingshun, chairperson of the China Women's University (CWU) Council, gave a lecture on college students' spirit and ideas for the freshmen at the university's North Campus.

Li introduced the development history and accomplishments the university has achieved since its inception. Li emphasized the importance of modern spirits for college students and hoped that students could uphold the school motto of Virtus, Caritas, Scientia and Cultura and foster a correct outlook on the world, life and values. 

Li also hoped that the students could adhere to the values of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-support and self-improvement, combine their own improvements with social progress and contribute to women's development.

Some 1000 freshmen participated in the event and welcomed Li's speech with several rounds of warm applause.
