CWU Wraps Up Its 4th Simulated Job Fair

The Youth League Committee of China Women's University (CWU) held a simulated job fair for undergraduates on October 18.

The event aimed to improve students' interviewing techniques, strengthen their professional skills and capacity to deal with change.

The jury included Ma Jun, deputy director of China Daily's Human Resources Department, Li Rui, Human Resources Director of Yizijob.com, and Wang Junying, director of the International Business Division at China Commerce Elite International Company.

Hou Dianmu, director of CWU's Teaching Affairs Office and Chen Lijun, deputy director of CWU's Student Affairs Office also served as judges during the competition.

The competition, which was divided into preliminaries, semi-finals and finals, attracted more than 200 students to participate. Through several rounds of selection including resume screening, self-introduction and vocational skills evaluation, a total of 28 players came to the final. 

The finalists' wonderful performances were highly praised by the judges and won prolonged applause from the audience. After several rounds of contest, Shui Yuerong, a student from the School of Culture and Communication won first prize. Two players from CWU's Child Development and Education School and the School of Management took silver, whilst third place was awarded to three students from the School of Child Development and Education, the Department of Finance and the School of Management.

The simulated job fair provided students with a real competitive job market. It helped to improve students' practical ability, interviewing and teamwork skills. In the future, CWU will continue to strengthen its cooperation with employers, consolidate students' specialized knowledge and improve their comprehensive quality.
