CWU Delegates Attend 2016 Meeting of the Chinese Association for Social Work
A delegation from China Women's University (CWU) participated in the 2016 meeting of the Chinese Association for Social Work Education from October 29 to November 1, which was co-organized by the Social Work Faculty and the education center for the Masters of Social Work at Nanjing University.
The thesis "Analysis on the Influence of the All-China Women's Federation on the Development of Social Work in China" got second prize at the conference, which was jointly edited by Chen Weijie, a teacher from CWU's School of Social Work, and Jiao Yang, director of CWU's Graduate Office.
On behalf of his research team, Chen made a keynote speech at the closing ceremony of the meeting. Other delegates also made speeches around women's issues at the conference.
The delegation fully demonstrated CWU's efforts and achievements in discipline construction and talent cultivation, further improved the university's influence in the social work profession, set a new goal for the social work faculty to contribute to the development of the social work specialty, school leaders said.
