CWU Holds Seminar on Women's Social Work
On the occasion of the 2016 meeting of the Chinese Association for Social Work Education, China Women's University (CWU) held a seminar on Women's Social Work recently.
Jiao Yang, secretary-general of Chinese Committee for Women's Social Work and director of CWU's Graduate Office, presided over the seminar. All the committee members and delegates from relevant departments participated in the event. Those in attendance shared their experiences and exchanged opinions on work for the next two years.
The participants fully affirmed CWU's efforts in promoting the development of the social work profession and expressed their expectations that the committee secretariat could take the lead in promoting the development of social work and women's progress in China.
Qi Xiaoyu, Party secretary-general of CWU's School of Social Work, Shi Tong, vice-president of the School, and Li Min, director of the School's Teaching and Research Center also participated in the event.
The Committee for Women's Social Work was found on August 19, 2013. Its secretariat is based in CWU, and its chairperson is held by Zhang Lixi, CWU's former president.
