China Women's University (CWU) held a symposium on the spirit of the recent 6th Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee on November 22.
All CWU's Party members participated in the seminar and studied the contents of a relevant release issued after the plenary on October 27.
CWU vice-president Wang Jingxia conveyed the latest ideas put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping in his keynote speeches made at the session.
Party members at all levels should act consistently to follow the leadership of the CPC Central Committee and fully study the keynote speeches as a "primary political task", said Wang.
To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session, Wang issued several key points at the conference.
Party members are urged to strengthen and regulate "intra-Party political life," firmly follow what the CPC Central Committee advocates, implement what the CPC Central Committee decides and build a "clean and righteous political and academic environment."
Moreover, all participants should fulfill their responsibilities in extending CPC governance to their teaching practices and provide strong support to educational reform. They should also combine the spirit of the session with the requirements of the ACWF, and make efforts to build the CWU as a top-level women's university worldwide, Wang added.
The 6th Plenary Session identified President Xi's core status and formally put forward the concept of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. The spirit of the session provide important guidance to the university's intra-Party construction and comprehensive reform, said organizers.
The event was jointly hosted by CWU's Organization Department, Publicity Department and Student Affairs Office.
