CWU Delegates Visit Unis in Wuhan

 December 7, 2016

Chen Lijun, director of the Student Affairs Office at China Women's University (CWU), led a delegation to visit universities in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.

The delegation visited Wuhan University (WU) on the first day. Dai Qian, deputy secretary of WU's Youth League Committee, warmly welcomed the visitors and introduced the committee's basic situation. The two sides exchanged their opinions on the construction of Marxist Youth League Schools, social practices arrangement, student societies management and the development of youth league congress. The delegates also participated in WU's art festival and visited the university's exhibition hall for historical materials.

In the last two days, the delegates visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Central China Normal University. Yao Tan, deputy secretary of HUST's Youth League Committee, introduced the committee's management system and communicated with the visitors on the building of student organizations, student cadres cultivation and college students' entrepreneurship and employment.

The delegates learned advanced work ideas and experiences and obtained valuable insights and advice towards the progress of a Youth League Committee. Upholding the spirit of "Self-esteem, Self-confidence, Self-support and Self-improvement", the university will prepare its graduates for an all-round development in morality, intelligence, sports, aesthetics and labor, enabling them to flourish in different social surroundings, school leaders said.

In order to cultivate application-oriented female talents, the functional departments will organize voluntary service activities more frequently, strengthen teachers' and students' consciousness of service and open up a new situation for the work of a Youth League Committee, school leaders added.
